In an article I read on Tnooz recently, Lisa Fugere of the Lyft app (connecting travellers to local drivers) wrote about how technology is shaping business traveler behavior.
I found it very interesting to read how she described the rise of technology in travel being mostly about the “intersection of personal and work life” and that traveller expectations change due to the new technologies available to them.
People are looking more and more for convenience and that means they choose tools that are suitable for both personal as business use.
According to Fugere:
“People do not use separate technology for work and home life; they simply use technology.”
When I compare this with the use of Pinterest, I can only agree with her. The platform is taking more and more the place of a visual search engine and bookmarking tool.
Because it’s so easy to set up separate boards for each topic that people research, they can use it for both personal as for work-related activities -all within the same app. How convenient!
Have you thought about the consumer experience on your Pinterest account yet? Are you offering content that is relevant to your audience for both personal as business use?
