In this fourth part of my review series of Pin Schedulers, we’re taking a closer look at the Ahalogy Pinterest Scheduler. Let me take you through all the functions and show what -in my opinion- the pro’s and con’s of this tool are.
Ahalogy Pinterest Scheduler review
I’ve been signed up with Ahalogy for a couple of years now, but I must admit that I haven’t really used their tool for scheduling pins onto Pinterest until recently.
Ahalogy is not just a scheduling tool, but a content network that offers publishers and influencers opportunities to work directly with brands on their own platforms. Because they are are an American company, the content so far hasn’t been really relevant to me. I’ve also found the pinned user content in their scheduler, especially when it comes to travel, of really low quality.
But let’s have another, closer look at what they have to offer, so you can decide if this is perhaps something for you.
Ahalogy used to be invite-only for a long time, but they are now actively looking for new contributors, so I’d say: sign up and try it out for yourself.
The good thing is that Ahalogy is free, however you have the chance of not being accepted into their program if your content is not suiting them. But I’d say, just give it a go!
After logging into Ahalogy, you’re being send straight to the content page. There is no overview page where you get all your options or statistics in one place, which I personally prefer.
On the left hand side, you can find your main menu, consisting of: Content (drawer icon), Schedule (calendar icon), Insights (statistics icon), Help (question mark) and Account Settings (profile picture).
There is also a “+”-sign in the top right corner, from where you can upload your own content.
Let’s go through all of the sections to see what you can do there in more detail.
You can select content to pin from the Ahalogy Network in a variety of different ways, such as:
As you can see in the dashboard image above, the first option is to filter your content by top performers. This is where you will see the most recent best performing pins from the Ahalogy content network based on clicks and repins.
You can filter the content based on pre-set categories or search for a specific keyword and you can hover over all the pins to show you what ‘Pin Score’ a pin has. This is Ahalogy’s formula for ranking a pin’s past success, from 0-100.
The Favorites tab shows you a similar lay-out, only now showing only those pins by people that you’ve started to follow on Ahalogy.
Then we have a recommended pins section, where you can find content that your audience responded well with. Every time you refresh this page, new pins show up here.
In this section, you will find pins from a while back that you can repin again.
Here you see an overview of all the pins you have created with Ahalogy.
SCHEDULING A PIN
In the “Schedule” section, you can see which pins you’ve got queued up to be posted on Pinterest for you.
There are a couple of different ways to schedule a pin into Ahalogy, you can either use their Google browser extension or their Pinmarklet, search for content within the network and schedule those directly, or you can upload an image directly into the scheduler.
All content scheduled from the Ahalogy network, you can see under the tab “Network Content”.
To schedule a pin from your computer, you click on the small “+” sign at the left bottom of the page (in the menu), select an image from your computer edit the description, URL and the board you want to pin it to.
All pins can then also be tags with keywords (called ‘liftwords’) and/or themes to make it easier for people to find withing the Ahalogy network.
Pins you upload direct into Ahalogy can be edited in online photo editing tool ‘Picmonkey‘ within the scheduling tool. There is a wide range of options to edit photos, add filters or text to your images.
The insights overview shows you how the content you share and the Pins you post are performing for you on Pinterest.
You can set a certain range in which you want the data to show, for example the past 7 days, 30 days, last month or quarter, or any other specific data range you choose yourself.
The Profile Tab shows you the amount of clicks and repins of pins you’ve posted on certain dates through the Ahalogy scheduler. The Site Tab shows you the total amount of clicks and repins of all pins that link to your website.
Both tabs also show the total number of pins you posted on each day.
At the bottom of both tabs, you will find an overview of all the pins that you scheduled. You can sort these by most repins or most clicks and there is a link to the pin URL.
- Free scheduling tool
- All content you schedule can be added to the content collection of Ahalogy, making it easier for people to find your content and share it
- You can find all previous pinned content and reschedule the content easily
- Clean interface, easy to understand
- Build-in photo editing tool (Picmonkey)
- No bulk-uploading of pin images into the scheduler
- No option to save pins as draft
- No scheduling in intervals/campaigns
- Very limited analytics
- There is no option to shuffle scheduled content
- No Google analytics synchronization
- You cannot add multiple accounts or work with teams
- Ahalogy is only for Pinterest, you would still need a separate scheduler for all your other Social Networks
And that’s my take on the Ahalogy Pinterest Scheduler. Hope you found it useful. Next time, we will be zooming in on the Tailwind Pinterest Scheduler. Any question on any of these tools, let me know.
